Just fantastic! The verdict on Hermle’s 2017 open house
Hermle’s 2017 open house event at its Gosheim headquarters welcomed more than 2700 visitors from around the globe in just four days. Visitors had the opportunity to explore and learn about more than 20 machine models fitted with ingenious machining solutions for various industry sectors, such as tool and mould making, aerospace, mechanical engineering, medical technology and model making.
For us, this important annual event offers the chance to put our customers in front of the latest innovations so they can see how these developments will help improve the efficiency of their manufacturing operation.
End to end control
Increasingly, CNC machining is about not just the machines but the complete process. Increased efficiency and speed is the result of the integration of the machines with other aspects of the manufacturing environment such as pallet changers, storage and handling systems and the application of robotics.
By taking a more holistic approach, Kingsbury and its principals are working together to create self-contained production centres that offer maximum flexibility with improved speed of throughput.
This year’s party from Kingsbury, which included 36 people from 19 companies, had the chance to view numerous machines equipped with unique automation solutions, showcased alongside Hermle software solutions.
Visitors were also able to witness first-hand the new HS Flex handling system, the highlight of the Show, put through its paces.
Offering a cost-effective entry point into machining centre automation, HS Flex enables the automation of a range of Hermle machine models of various sizes.
