Kingsbury Make Top 10 for the Second Year Running
2020 has presented the UK manufacturing sector with extraordinary challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to find new ways to keep our sector flourishing and business moving.
Despite this, Kingsbury are delighted to have made it into the top 10 Sunday Times International Track 200 for the second year running, and into the London Stock Exchange’s list of ‘1000 companies to inspire Britain’ for the first time. Ranking at number 10 in the Sunday Times International Track 200 is a huge achievement for the entire Kingsbury team, especially to have kept this accolade during what have been difficult months for all. And to gain a further chart place in the London Stock Exchange demonstrates the innovation and commitment that everyone at Kingsbury has displayed over the past year.
The Sunday Times International Track 200 recognises Britain’s top private companies with the fastest-growing international sales, and this year highlights what an important contribution private companies such as Kingsbury have made in overcoming the unprecedented effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the difficulties we’ve experienced, the report gives us great reason for optimism; the international sales of those featured on the list increased by an average of 55% a year over the past two years of trading, to a combined annual total of £8.7 billion. If this can be achieved amongst the restrictions we’ve endured, Kingsbury is certain that innovation shown by the manufacturing industry will continue to see us make great gains over the years to come.
The London Stock Exchange’s list of 1000 companies to inspire Britain identifies the UK’s most dynamic and fastest growing businesses, with the top five industries represented by this year’s companies accounting for over 40% of the list, led by Engineering & Construction and Manufacturing. With such a reliance on manual labour, the impact on our industry has been great and it’s so positive to see that, despite the set-backs, manufacturing is continuing to thrive.
Richard Kingsbury, Managing Director of Kingsbury, says “We are pleased to have made it into the Sunday Times Fast Track Top 10 for the second year running and we are delighted to feature for the first time in the London Stock Exchange’s list of the ‘1000 companies to inspire Britain’. It is a tremendous fillip and due recognition of the collective efforts of an amazing team! Well done to all”.
As we look ahead, everyone at Kingsbury is optimistic about what the next year will hold. With the success of the vaccine roll-out we are getting ready to start our journey back to business-as-usual, and are looking forward to the year ahead for Kingsbury and the manufacturing industry as a whole.
