Kingsbury sponsors British offshore sailing phenom, Timothy Long
Recently, Kingsbury was approached by Tim Long, a young British sailor.
While relatively unknown to the British public, Timothy is an exceptional rising talent in the world of sailing, having become the youngest sailor to navigate the UK’s shores single-handedly at fifteen years old.
Inspired by his dedication and talent, Kingsbury has decided to support Tim in his next upcoming venture, La Solitaire du Figaro. He’ll sail solo once again in a course that will take him across alternate coastal and offshore sections between western France, Ireland and Britain.

What is La Solitaire du Figaro?
La Solitaire du Figaro is a challenging and highly-regarded solo sailing race held each year in France.
What will Tim be doing?
La Solitaire du Figaro is offshore and multi-stage, being divided into a number of legs in and around the French coastline. Last year, the 3-stage course totalled more than 1,800 nautical miles, so Tim is likely to be at sea for an extended period.
How challenging is the race?
Tim will be at sea, alone, for a number of days. Solo racing is a real challenge, so he’ll need to draw on all of his skill, self-sufficiency and navigational prowess to complete the course; we’re sure, too, he’ll be relying on pure grit and determination at times.
